I am surprised that you expect Crafty on a super computer to beat Quest on 4*2.8Ghz. You predicted that Crafty with 10 times faster hardware is going to lose against Junior when the programs use their books and the hardware of Junior is clearly slower than 4*2.8 GHz. faster hardware should help Junior because faster hardware usually help the better program. Note also that even if you are correct then you still forget that all the evidence that I know tells me that Diep is significantly weaker than Crafty on equal hardware. Based on knowing Vincent I am not going to be surprised if he implemented a lot of counter productive knowledge in Diep. Uri
