Why has the tournament on ICC the humble name "Computer Chess Tourney" for
example?

Why not WICCC or ICC WCCC or something like that?

Chessbase does not know about false modesty. :)
They simply name a server tournament "European Internet Championship"
and a match between the _former_ worldchampions Kasparov and Fritz
"World Chess Championship".
