I am very gratified that this seems to be working not >just against human player but also against other programs. well, what an interview! no mention of the pathetic performance of fritz in game 3 vs kasparov which was a positional disaster. and it seems like at least some other engines would have played that position much better (results were posted here which seem to indicate that some other engines would have moved their f-pawn...). but of course, what can you expect when you look at the chessbase website? also, that fritz plays excellent positional chess "as you can see in the game vs. shredder" seems pretty weird; wasn't that basically just a book loss? cheers martin
