You seem to have a problem with stating facts :-) List was not disqualified for being a Crafty clone. It was disqualified because its author didn't return a phone call. I think it is important that we remember that it has not been shown that List is a Crafty clone. No one besides anonymous people have shown any evidence supporting the accusation, and other well known people in the computer chess community have given evidence that List is not similar to Crafty. I think it is pretty sorry of the ICGA to take this action, especially based upon nothing more than circumstantial evidence from some phantom they obviously don't feel confident naming. I hope it wasn't Vincent. He's made more than his share of completely unfounded and very serious accusations in the past. The ICGA is becomming such a joke. I see no reason why they should be in charge of the world computer chess championship. Their journal has little to do with computer chess these days. They are more interested in a big pay day than promoting computer chess around the world. Now this incident.
