That's the point.
It is a common approach for a newbie chess programmer to use some sources from
open source software.

I see nothing wrong with it as long as he has rewritten most of the stuff before
initial release.

The similarity of some file names is not enough evidence to request the
inspection of the source code.

In case this was all evidence they should have suggested Fritz Reul to name a
respectable person of his choice like Dann Corbit or Robert Hyatt to have a
quick look at his source code in order to make sure that List is not a Crafty
clone.
