  Sharing is good for progress. Without sharing knowledge, we would still be in
the stone age.
  If any, it can only hurt competition if people do a bad use of the shared
information. A knife is good for cutting food, but can also be used for killing.
I don't think knifes should be eliminated because they can be used for killing.
