I do know that actually. And you arent the authority to tell anyone what is
wrong. (Although you seem intent upon providing personal guidance to people that
neither want or need it). Is it wrong because you know someone that knows
someone? Share dinner with them have you? The definitions provided of plagarism
by the ICGA are contradicted by respected engine authors like Dr. Hyatt. With
the definition of plagarism in question, plus the 'enforcement' against an
engine based upon allegations against software that isnt competing at Graz
results in my conclusion that incompetence is at work here. It has also been
mentioned that Mr. Corbit has seen the source of List and doesnt consider it a
derivative of Crafty. (I am assuming that is accurate). And Finally, why would
the ICGA be answerable to an accuser that hasnt made themselves publicly known?
An accuser that based their accusations upon software NOT competing at Graz.
(ICGA made it clear that their intent was to report to the annonymous accuser).
Incompetence is what I said (for these reasons and more) and incompetence is
what I meant. Even the IOC handles serious issues more responsibly. At the very
least, an investigation could be pursued after the event. Examining everything
in detail followed by a thoughtfull and reasoned decision. Adjustments in final
standings could be made easily. There isnt a need for haste; unless of course
someone didnt want to play List.

My comments about this issue are on point. There is a problem with this
organization that affects engine authors. (IMO as I have expressed it at
length). There have been many differing opinions. Yours however has been the
only one accompanied by insults. You and people like you were one of the reasons
I left this place initially. I can see that was a good choice then and is
probably a good choice now. It appears that nothing has changed.
