hi dieter,

this is kind of off-topic: the fide rules are similar: if you execute the move
that leads to the 3-fold repetition, you cannot claim it any more. you must stop
the clock, call the arbiter, and tell him you will play move X leading to 3-fold
repetition.
what strikes me here is that mr. zwanzger is a very strong chess player and
should know the fide rules, and should therefore have been aware of this type of
rule.
