I think Mathieu's suggestion is one good solution. Most people post on one topic mainly (for instance, I like the programming aspect of computer chess), so their posts would be mainly only in one section. Plus there would be fewer posts in each section, making it more readable. Another idea might be to "flatten" the threads. It might make it more readable to not show the sub-threads on the main page (flatten them). Then you would only see: Thread1 Thread2 Thread3 Thread4 Then your screen would be less cluttered. You could click on the thread to go to it. An idea that would be a more significant undertaking would be to setup a newsgroup server to mirror CCC, which would allow you to read it as any other newsgroup, and filter things however you'd like. One quesiton I have for you: If you had a particular poster ignored, would you want to see the responses to posts made by that person?
