So if we can build an auto232 engine for winboard (an engine that simply
spits moves back and forth between winboard and auto232), then we can
play any of these commercial programs on the chess servers with some
degree of automation?

I've thought about building such an engine for winboard in the past, but
haven't found the time to do it.  How easy would this be to implement
using your chess library?
