I still remember when CSTal was mating , the opponent's program saw the mate too and stopped calculating, and CSTal promoted into a knight instead of the queen. And - CSTal lost because of this bug. shit happens. Although the bug was known. the programmers said: we cannot reproduce your bug. and then, in the championship, it appears. thats a golden law IMO. and this does not only happen to WEAK programs. it happens with the best programs too. thats why i like championships.
