the rules are ok. the people in charge for the decisions in the tournaments are
incompetent.

the same problem like in any democracy. the laws are ok. but nobody, not even
the governments are that competent or that intelligent or willing to follow
their own laws.

this is IMO normal.- I have seen much bigger BUGS on championships.

shit happens, and you can be sure , 100% sure that the shit will find your
bug in the tournament.

if there is a serious bug, the serious bug will appear not BEFORE the tournament
but IN the tournament and will cause that you get less points.
thats completely normal.

I still remember when CSTal was mating , the opponent's program saw the mate
too and stopped calculating, and CSTal promoted into a knight instead of
the queen. And - CSTal lost because of this bug.

shit happens.

Although the bug was known. the programmers said: we cannot reproduce your bug.

and then, in the championship, it appears.
thats a golden law IMO.

and this does not only happen to WEAK programs. it happens with the best
programs too.

thats why i like championships.
