I understand your position. But here is another:

Given the recognition that Fritz (and actually also Deep Junior) received
through _mostly_ commercial means, including all the coverage of Kasparov &
Kramnik events, I am pleased to see Shredder take the World Championship title
and confirm what many (most?) commentators and SSDF already indicated:  it has
been the best chess program for quite a while now.
