In 1993 munich Guenter Niggemann tried to resign for the SPARC chess computer against Mchess by destroying the machine in front of the eyes of the TD. TD Friedel and Levy came and there was a big hype. In Paris there was a complain by amir ban to continue a game until the end because the operator resigned and participant amir ban said: the operator cannot do this, the game ends with the mate or when the situation is CLEAR. the game was continued the next day when i remember right.
