Since Fritz couldn't beat Shredder, even though it was running on vastly superior hardware, I cant really feel sorry for it. I think it would be more accurate to play a more extensive tournament with all programs on EQUAL hardware and playing each other twice each with each colour. This would give a much more likely chance of the best program winning and not just the luckiest one.
