Whether the engine asked for a draw, or the interface told him about the draw, he can _not_ supercede the engines wishes. He is not an active participant in the game, only the two programs playing are. If Shredder had a bug, so be it. It was not up to Johnny to give him the full point. If Shredder had a mate in # score, and failed to capitalize on it, that is Shredder's fault and should have resulted in a half point. Thus giving the title to Fritz. This years WCCC has turned into a rediculous situation and I would never claim any title if I was a programmer from such event. I would find it embarassing, and everyone would doubt the result. That is no way to win anything. Peter.
