In addition the I have notice when playing with Monarch that Fritz will play out known tablebase victories without involving the engine. So if Monarch is using the Fritz GUI and comes to a KBN v K ending it will play it perfectly even though Monarch cannot use tablesbases and cannot mate with K + B. To me this meant that the Fritz GUI should not be used without the permission of Chessbase and the GUI should have an option to *not* play out endings. Just my $0.02 Steve
