In all the Kasparov / Kramnik games there have been elaborate rules about under what circumstances the humans are allowed to draw for the engine, and in practice there has been a lot of fuss about premature draws (and resignations) made by humans for the machine. So there isn't really a "world standard", it's all a mess.
