I'm not sure what to think about the fingerprint scheme, someone could use the crafty source, change a few things in the search, and have a completely different fingerprint while 99% of the source was still from Crafty. Linus & co have written software for this sort of thing (re SCO lawsuit). Of course, this is fixed with a simple #define obfuscation, but whatever. Another possibility would be to gzip contestants together and see what the compression ratio is. anthony
