Why do you want to paint DC into a corner. He does not need to voice a strong opinion based on unavailable evidence and we already know what DC thinks about what he has seen--partially exculpatory evidence. We also know that we need the whole code-- and to compile it again-- then to check the output against tournament play-- in order to be sure we have seen the true code. (this was RH's observation) and then the truth will be very clear because Crafty's code is a known factor already. We also need to remember that the exe file is not the engine but constructs the engine in the machines memory (RH's observation(, so two very different-looking exe files can produce some similar results (my conclusion).
