When and if I should ever enter a contest, I will also give a copy of my source code to my programmer friends. At looking at my code, all of them will be very sure that I have not used their ideas. In fact, my code is completely non-traditional and does not look like the code of anyone else at all. I don't know why many people have trusted me with their code. I think usually, it starts out with me helping them on some programming issue. At some point, they become so good at what they are doing (and their code complexity rises to the point where I have some trouble understanding it) and I can offer very little insight to help.
