Whwn exiting to dos from Windows (ie: Resstart Computer in dos mode) Win95 looks for the "Exit to Dos" file on your computer and activates the commands in this file. These commands include similar lines as when we used to boot up into dos. This "Exit to Dos" file has a config.sys and an Autoexec.bat configuration. If in the Config.sys and autoexec.bat there are no cdrom drivers loaded then the cdrom will not work in dos mode. This was a vexxing problem for many when Win95 first came out. Lots of folks were saying, "where did my CDrom drive go?" When you exit to dos and type this: cd g: does it say not reading drive g? If so then you need to load your dos cdrom drivers. I can walk you through this if you are not familiar with this process. You can e-mail me. > My question is what do I do now? I would welcome your suggestions. > >Sincerely >Bob Larmer
