Won't work. Here's why: You type that command, the text goes to ICC. It processes the draw and then handles text from another user. The opponent has the chance to say "decline" between ICC processing the draw and the Nf8 move. That's the hole fishbait is currently working on. If you play a human, you don't have a problem. But a computer GUI like xboard can decline the draw _instantly_ and slip through that timing hole. The "multi draw; Nf8" doesn't have the timing hole as the server processes that command at one time. But it is somewhat ugly. Fishbait proposed several solutions, including "draw Nf8". I'm not sure what he will end up actually implementing. > >Then again, so was ;nf8 ;draw That won't work either. Your opponent can move before the draw is processed, after you play Nf8. Think about computers and how fast they can react. >or >Nf8 >Draw same problem. > >I've used ;draw ;Nf8 always, but I think a better way to fix this is nice.
