For the Mac, besides HIARCS and Crafty, you can analyze .epd files with a little bit of batch text editing on: Sigma Chess Lite (http://users.cybercity.dk/~bst10651/) MacChess (http://members.aol.com/macchess) With Sigma Chess, the issue is that you really have to make the epd files into pgn files that use the FEN tag. However, a Unix script to convert a .epd file to a .pgn file is easy enough. Likewise, the output is an annotated .pgn file, but again a script can convert that back into an annotate .epd file. MacChess processes .EPD files directly, but you might want to use a script to thin down the output - the output given is fairly voluminous.
