Hi Jeremiah, >> Notice that the event is being held in Asia for the third time in a decade. >> It happens to be the largest and most populous continent. > It's being held in a part of Asia that is right next door to Europe, I might > add. Not to mention that Asia is even further away from North America than > Europe is. It's not doing anyone over here a favor, for sure. > I'm not against the event being held in Asia (or Europe) at all. But it > should come to the western half of the world once in a while. I may add that as far as I know the WCCC 2004 is held in Israel because a student - to name him: Omid - did start everything at his university and then they did try to get the money for the event. What is wrong with that ? Why is this not possible in the USA ? And can you tell me how you define western half of the world on a ball, on a globe ??? Okay, USA is in the west of europe, but e.g. Japan is in the west of the USA and Israel is in the west of Japan... Many stuff here sounds to me like: We will participate at a WCCC - as long it is held in the USA... Next one: Think about the W in WCCC -> That means world ! Not only Europe or USA. What would you do if it is held in say the southern part of Chile ? And about the to long statement: One of the biggest critics on other WCCC here was, that they play to less rounds - now we play more round (which is a lot of fun - amateurs get way more chances to play against commercials) and it is no good either. Greets, Thomas
