There should be many more such events everywhere forever more. It is nice to have the human presence. Humans get to meet each other and enjoy each other's company. That should continue. Nevertheless, there is something to be said for Internet tournaments. The schedule issues go away and time taken is not important. There would be no travel costs and everybody could be "safe" in the privacy of their own homes. Telephones and TV cameras could be used to provide communication and some visibility of the humans. The only down-side of Internet chess is that the parties are not as fun. What we need is many more games, not fewer. Internet makes that feasible. Bob D.
