I really don't understand why someone else has to do the work finding a host city/venue and sponsors to pay the ICGA $50k, when the ICGA isn't doing any of the work. >And can you tell me how you define western half of the world on a ball, on a >globe ??? The world is very clearly divided into East and West halves by the Prime Meridian/International Date Line. >Many stuff here sounds to me like: We will participate at a WCCC - as long it is >held in the USA... If it were held in the USA every time for the last 10 years, I doubt there would be so many Europeans showing up anymore. Do you disagree? >Next one: Think about the W in WCCC -> That means world ! Do you know how expensive it is to travel halfway around the world AND stay there for 2 weeks? A lot of people would have to take off work to make that trip which means no (or less) pay. So even if the travel itself isn't cost prohibitive, the extended stay very well might be. Not to mention that at some jobs it may be difficult or impossible to get such a long block of time off at once. There are a lot of problems with the way things are currently being done, which is why people are complaining.
