Take a look at ChessAssistant: http://store.convekta.com/shop_model.asp?sView=Catalog&gid=62#product585 It has a 2.1 million game database going back to the 1800s. It also has a "live" chess tree with stats culled from these games. There is nearly instantaneous position search as well. My page: http://www.chessassistance.com Bob
