Programmers may neglect bugs that are relevant only for long time control
because of lack of testing and if we consider the fact that Fritz5.32 was
developed in the time that the hardware was slower it is not surprising if we
find that it has problems at long time control.

I think like christophe that it is possible to improve a program at all time
controls so I see no reason to do it weaker in blitz and better at longer time
control.

My experience with old Fritz's is that they have the following problems:

1)They start to have a bad branching factor if I use them for a lot of time
2)They are root processors and the evaluation may be changed significantly after
trading queens.

This is the reason that I almost never used them in correspondence games.

These problems were fixed in later version of Fritz but I believe that Fritz6
was the first program to fix these problems(I did not buy Fritz6 but Deep Fritz6
that was also good enough not to have these problems).
