Okay, "Crafty is about 60% faster on 64-bit hardware" gave me the wrong
impression then :)

It's just that I would expect each of the new innovations in the Opteron to
bring a good speedup, and while the 64 bit stuff definitely is the most
"interesting" I'm not sure it is also the most significant.

That huge speedup Sjeng gets, assuming Sjeng isn't largely bitboard based,
indicates that other factors may be equally important.
