Hi,

Deep Fritz 8 is not really $84 at ChessBase that is before conversion and all
types of fees. It costs about $120.00 from them (if you are in the USA).

Next, they are the same engine. Deep Fritz 8 you wear (and receive) no glasses
and you don't get a X3D float in the sky board. You do get a nice 3d board if
you want to use it. But, running these high end graphics takes a lot of power
away from the engine. A case of beauty over performance.

I think afetr Deep Fritz 8 has beeaten me to a pulp, I might just go for beauty.

You can get it in the USA at www.chescentral.com.

I do not know if ChessBase is supporting the X3D version, they certainly are not
offering it for sale, so i would have to assume no upgrades.
