In chess, if I insist on moving into check, and I refuse to change my move, then
I am going to lose when my clock runs down or the TD says "game is over". A
computer can't really change its mind. It announces a move and moves on to
the ponder phase. If the move is illegal, it is simply going to flag on a
chess server, as it should.
