This does sound interesting - hope you get a chance to take a look at it Dann.
It might help to improve the project in a couple of key areas, where we are
currently weak compared to "Distributed Net" etc - mainly in the process of
getting data out to participants, and back to you:

1) It can be a bit of a pain if you have a few machines - copying files to/from
multiple machines for processing, copying results back etc. No big deal - just
another little job - whereas GIMPS / Distributed Net are transparent to the
user. More ease-of participation should help to build numbers of participants.

2) We're currently not using all the computing power available from those who
are participating: For example, in my case - I run stuff overnight on 3
machines - but could run it 24 hours at low priority, and get more done. The
current architecture doesn't facilitate this though - because results aren't
flushed when Crafty shuts down, so if I reboot during the day, work is lost.

Just some thoughts for improvements....
