Hello ! Thanks to Michal Rudolf, Scid has been fixed so as to allow deep analysis. In Scid 3.4 and before, the GUI output from a chess engine stops after 2^32/2 nodes. On my machine with Crafty 19.6 (why are all these people writing 19.06 ?) it takes less than an hour to reach 2^32/2 nodes. Michal provided a patch to Scid+ (http://www.skjoldebrand.org/scid/), which I have applied and repacked Scid to make it easy to install for others. Here is Scid 3.5beta1 : www.al-data.dk/chess/scid_35_beta1.tar.gz To install in Linux, simply unpack, configure, make, make install. My site is still on a 128kb upload, but has low traffic so it should be ok. www.al-data.dk/chess has been updated to include Scid screenshot. Martin.
