I was intrigued by your posting and decided to give your blitz settings a try, using my own book against Fritz 8.008. Blitz 3min + 2sec, both programs 64MB hash, Athlon 2800+ Tbred (2250Mhz), Fritz using Fritz.ctg, all 3,4,5 men tablebases. Your settings have failed rather miserably, I am afraid. Whilst with the Shredder 7.04 default settings and the same book I get about 52% against Fritz 8 at the 3/2 time controls, this 24 game match with your settings was a disaster for Shredder: +2 -17 =5!!! Of course, very few games to draw definite conclusions, but still...I was rather disappointed. Regards, Djordje
