I wanted to post a warning to people who may be using the latest update to Chessbase 8 (Dec 2, 2003). Be careful to keep backups of your files and databases. I have no idea how widespread the problems I've seen are, but they can be catastrophic if you don't have plenty of copies. I have some rather large game files, which are really opening analysis compendiums, that the latest update is corrupting occasionally. It seems to have problems when you merge large numbers of games together. The version I've been using (and am going back to) is Mar 2002, and it doesn't have any of these problems. Paul
