I've tried this on two different computers, one of which had no anti-virus software installed. Further, it's difficult for me to believe that any upgrade problems would show only in this manner. If there was truly an upgrade problem I would expect to see CB itself failing in several places. Instead, everything else seems to work fine. It's just when merging games that the problems show up. Even then I don't get an error. It's much more insidious than that - I write out a game (which is really a merge of many games) and when I read it back in later it has major sections gone and replaced with one set of square brackets. If that's because of a failure in the upgrade process for CB it's the most selective failure I can imagine. I've also tried CB's suggestion of running the iupgrade.exe in place, with the same results. Paul
