I agree that scheduled times to start rounds is a good thing, whether the
tournament is being held automatic or manually.

I hope the programs would talk directly to each other with a serial cable but
with some kind of a server (like FICS, ICC) in between. If program A doesn't
understand/follows the protocol of the server, it's program A's fault.
