Question: I own several commercial chess engines: Fritz 8, Hiarcs 9, Chess Tiger 15, Junior 8, and Chessmaster 9000 (The King 3.23). All have parameters that you can tweak before playing a game. For example, Hiarcs 9 can be set to play a "Hypermodern" style, play defensively, etc. I'm sure the majority of you know a lot more about this than I do. Anyway, is there anyway to create additional copies of the chess engines so that you can have a match between the same engine with different parameters? For example, what if I wanted to match up CT 15 with Gambit style set to "aggressive" vs. CT 15 with Gambit style set to "suicidal?" Or, Hiarcs 9 set to Hypermodern and Defensive vs. Aggressive. etc., etc., etc. Thank you for your responses. -Jasmine T. Baer
