I think, there is no doubt, that this is a forced win for white after 1. Ke2. In a recent discussion, Robert Hyatt claimed, that only 1. Ke2 will win. I disagree, and I believe that at least 1. Ke1 will win, too. Robert suggested to find a good opponent at ICC. I tried, but I was not successful. So, like in the "fried liver" thread, I'd like to show my point here. Anybody (who thinks, that only 1. Ke2 wins), is invited, to suggest his move. My move is 1. Ke1. Robert suggested 1...Kd8 as an response, but was not sure. If 1...Kd8, my resonse is 2. kf2 (I think, at least 2.a4 will win as well). [D] 4k3/5ppp/8/8/8/8/PPP5/3K4 w - - 1. Ke1 Kd8 2. Kf2 Feel free to suggest another first move for black.
