Nah. Call it the ICGA Champion, because that's what it is.

I'd be interested to know what you think gives any organization the right to
call the winner of their event the world champion. Is the winner of the NFL the
world champion in American football? What about the winners of the NBA, the NHL,
MLB? Are the winners of those leagues the world champions? Or are they the NFL
Champions, etc.? What about the Olympics? What about the FIDE Champion?

IMO, one important aspect is participants of a certain playing ability must be
able to realistically participate if they desire to do so. The ICGA fails that
requirement miserably, while leagues like the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB all pass with
flying colors. They pay people a minimum of a few hundred thousand dollars per
year to sit on the bench. If you could potentially be one of the best, and you
have a desire to play in one of those leagues, someone will make sure you are
participating, and you will be making many millions of dollars each year. I'm
not sure if the FIDE passes here or not. I have a feeling if someone was as good
as Kasparov or Kramnik, but didn't have the money required to participate in a
"world championship" that someone would see that they got to participate, but
maybe not.

The CCTs pass the particpation requirement easily. The WCCC currently has the
CCTs beat on the level of the very top participants, but that will change at
some point.

Personally, I think each organization should call their winner the Champion of
that organization. IE ICGA Champion, FIDE Champion, CCT Champion, etc. Very few
(if any) can undisputedly call their winner a world champion. Just call it what
it is, and let people decide which organizations' champion is the most
respected.
