You've got it right, Jasmine.

The only bit of information you are missing is that -1 means "normal style" (I
agree that it was not easy to guess).

These values have been chosen for compatibility with the former Gambit Tiger
engine which was physically separated from the normal Chess Tiger engine (which
was always playing with the "normal" style). Gambit Tiger accepted 3 levels of
"aggressivity": 0="Gambit", 1="Gambit aggressive", and 2="Gambit suicidal". By
adding -1="Normal Chess Tiger style" it has been possible to achieve backward
compatibility with earlier CT.INI files.

I do not know if ChessBase has published a fix for this annoying problem (GUI
unable to change the playing style). Anyone?
