Hi everybody! This will hopefully be the final DPerft trend for perft(11). Only 19% remains, so the project will probably be finnished tomorrow. Still I wish to welcome the new participants of today and I hope they stick around to finnish perft(12), now that we have the whole system running. To make life easier on the server and prepare it for the much larger problem that it is to run all the perft(4) positions (200'000 positions instead of 8'902) I've upgraded the client to not update statistics each time a problem is completed. When you want the latest statistics you push the "update" button. I also simplified the statistics calculation to use better and fewer SQL-querys. This gave a speedup of about 30% for generating the stats. To give more users possibility to participate I also set up a server at port 80, so in case you've had troubles with your firewall try it again. I hope the transition tomorrow will be smooth and everything will continue as if nothing happened. To really get going on perft(12) we would need even more participants so if you know anybody with a spare computer give him or her the link...
