A little experimentation suggests that my "analyze to ply N"
was a bad idea. Since Crafty has a "time cpu" option, anyway,
the main motivation for this is moot, anyway.

What my experiments pointed out was, the time per ply is pretty
unpredictable for a given position, that is, even knowing the
time for the first N ply (which was my idea for trying to attack
the "unpredictable time" problem), predicting time for ply N+1 seems
to be tough.

Looking over a batch of 30 endgame positions, MacChess time factor
going from ply N to ply N+1 varies from 1.11 to 30!!
