I think it is you Frank who must learn a lot. If a competitor has the intention
to harm you and take you to court you will most probably have to rewrite your
ad's, write rectifications, pay for the competitors lost turnover.

You can not say this, what you can say are things like these:

1) Based on our testings we conclude Ruffian is probably the strongest Winboard
engine.

2) According to the SSDF list Ruffian is the strongest Winboard engine as
Ruffian is the highest rated Winboard engine in that list.

3) Ruffian recently won the Dutch Open leaving behind xxx, yyy, zzz

These are juridical all valid statements, provided of course that (2) is true.
As a producer you just can't say, "I am the best" not even with the extension
"today". Sony can't say, "today we produce the best televisions", however in
their market strategy they can look for partners with a name willing to endorse
their product or quote magazines who review their products.

If CSS writes, "Ruffian is the best Winboard engine" you are allowed to quote
them, "According to the CSS magazine Ruffian is the best Winboard engine".

End of class :)

My best,

Ed
