I don't kow much about the Xeon, but if you want to go with Intel choose a
PII-350 / 400. This guarantees a 100Mhz bus; if you can read German, the
magazine 'Computer Schach und Spiele' wrote in the June/July 98 issue
extensively about hardware comparing mainly AMDs with PIIs. One of their
conclusions was that an AMD-K6II-300 is equivalent to PII-350, if you get
the software to play ball. Recently Shredder2 was murdered by Junior because
the hashtables for Shredder were TOO LARGE !! Anyway, the 100Mhz bus is
VITAL !
