Hi, This is about Hiarcs 9. I am using Hiarcs 9 to play email chess with my friend in Germany, who is sending his moves using Ruffian 1.01. This is by definition, "machine vs machine." Here is my minor difficulty: We have agreed to set the match at 11 ply search depth. However, I find that every time I start up Hiarcs for the email reply each day, I must re-set the game level at 11 plies, instead of the default 10 second time control. I re-installed Hiarcs, and I still get the same result - I must re-set the depth to 11 plies search every time I restart Hiarcs to return my daily email moves. Is this a bug? Or a design choice?
