I don't see anything >obviously wrong. One move sounds like the crafty.rc file has the missing CR/LF problem. There's been no changes to affect winboard/xboard that I know of. IE I am still playing every day on ICC using xboard and am not seeing any difficulties... Can you send me a log file from where it hangs up??? That might help.
