Subject: OT: Distributed computing projects - BOINC and ChessBrain

For those with spare CPU cycles:

I've created two 'winboard' teams for BOINC and ChessBrain.
- BOINC is in beta-test, working with the SETI@home and AstroPulse projects.
- ChessBrain has been in development for some time now and will be attempting to
set an official Guiness World Record on January 30, 2004.

BOINC and ChessBrain work well when run together on a single machine. ChessBrain
uses the CPU only sporadically; otherwise, BOINC uses the remaining idle CPU
cycles.

If you're interested in supporting these projects and being part of the
'winboard' team, then download, install and configure the client software.

(note: to be part of the World Record attempt, you will need to update to
version 3 of the client when it's released)

Be sure to configure the clients so that team = winboard. If you're still using
the old SETI@home client, there's a team 'winboard' there too.
