Yes, Shredder 7.04 does have a bug which makes it useless for analysis. For
instance, look at the following:

Note that in the first line and the last two lines Shredder presents lines that
lead to Mate, and yet the evaluation is only 0.87, -0.57 and -1.07 respectively.
