Inbetween all the emotional clap-trap, the argument in your post seems to rest to a large degree on the assertion that the GUI was not part of the program, which you conveniently define it is not. I believe it clearly was part of the program and that therefore the claim of a draw (even though not precisely formulated, but obvious) was a 'move' that the operator had no right to over-rule. Whether or not the human can influence the contest, I suggest they should not to the extent that they change the result. I further suggest that had Shredder been playing many of the other programs, a draw would have been the result. It obviously had an unfortunate bug, brilliant program though it undoubtable is. In terms of the _decision_ perhaps you should read some of Amir's posts that reveal an interesting timeline for this _post-hoc_ justification. Frank
